Helwingia chinensis

Vigorous, evergreen shrub with attractive, glossy, willow like foliage. Green purple flowers open in centre of leaf, followed by black fruit.

Flowering period:  Summer.
Growing conditions:  Moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil in light shade.
Typical mature height:  80 inches ( 203 cms )
Hardiness:  Hardy. Should withstand average to cold UK winters.
