Acacia baileyana purpurea

Graceful evergreen shrub with fern-like, grey-green foliage, flushed purple. Golden yellow 'mimosa' flowers.

Flowering period:  Early spring.
Growing conditions:  Well-drained soil in sun. Sheltered position.
Special note:  Mainly grown for its attractive foliage. Protect from severe frosts.
Typical mature height:  250 inches ( 635 cms )
Hardiness:  Half-hardy. Should withstand mild UK winters.
Cost:  £10 for 1 litre pots. £15 for 3 litre pots. Very limited supply.
