Salvia subgenus perovskia (formerly Perovskia) Blue Spire

Aromatic, silver-grey foliage. Bright blue flowers.

Flowering period:  Late summer.
Growing conditions:  Sun. Tolerant of poor soils.
Special note:  Looks attractive in winter, especially with frost on stems and flowers. Cut back hard in early spring.
Typical mature height:  48 inches ( 122 cms )
Hardiness:  Hardy. Should withstand average to cold UK winters.
